Saving on Natural and Organic

Some of you have asked about tips for saving on natural products and organic foods, which don't seem to have the same quantity of promotions, coupons, and sales that many of the more processed foods have.

Today on Money Saving Mom, Crystal pointed out a great resource to use for saving on natural products and organic foods. If this is something you're interested in, check out www.SavingNaturally.com! The blogger is Stephanie, and it looks like she's doing a fantastic job of gathering organic and natural deals.

Hope this helps you keep your family healthy while still saving!

Great Deal at Plum District: 2 games for $2

Have you heard of Plum District ? It's a site similar to Groupon and bTrendie that I'm finding to have really great deals! Check out this deal I found today on Plum District:

For the next couple days, Plum District is offering a deal on two computer game downloads from Big Fish Games for $7 (regular price $14). But if you use the code welcome in the promotions box at checkout, you'll get $5 off your first purchase, making your final cost only $2! [I found this deal when I searched under the city of Tulsa].

I just did this deal, and they immediately post a gift code in your Plum District account so that you can go directly to the Big Fish Games site and purchase any two games! We're snagging a great Dora the Explorer game and another fun animal rescue game that I know my preschoolers will love. All the games ad-free, and they have dozens of games for PC, Mac, iPhone, and iPad- pretty sweet deal for $2.

So if you're like me and could use a little something new to keep kids happy and engaged during these HOT last few weeks of summer, this just might be your ticket. Enjoy!

HOT!! Incredible diaper deals on Amazon!

Wow- if you've got a baby/ toddler in diapers, Amazon has a sweet, sweet, sweet diaper deal you don't want to miss:

In the August and September issues of Parents and Parenting the Early Years magazines, there are cardstock Amazon advertisements that have personalized 20% off diapers codes. I know many of you are like me and get these magazines free from previous magazine deals! You can stack up to three of these codes to get really, really cheap diapers on Amazon when you combine it with Amazon's Subscribe and Save option, which gives you an additional 30% off and free shipping!

Check out two deal scenarios I came up with using two magazine coupon codes, Subscribe and Save 30% discount, and one $5 Amazon gift card I had earned through Swagbucks. This is what my checkout page looked like for a huge box of 68 Pamper's training pants:

And this is what my checkout page looked like for an even larger box of 88 training pants:

After looking at both possibilities, I decided to spend $1.75 or so more to get the larger box. What a fantastic deal!! There are all sizes and kinds of diapers available, so if you need diapers of any type, don't miss this one. Here's the play-by-play, with many thanks to Money Saving Mom:

• Go to the Amazon Baby Page and click on the “Special Offer” link at the top to see all products which qualify for the 30% off discount. (Be sure to check the Amazon Coupon Page and refresh a few times to see if there’s any applicable coupons. Click to add any applicable coupons to your account and they'll automatically be applied at checkout.)

• Choose your desired diapers.

• Add them to your cart using the Subscribe & Save feature and they should show up at 30% off plus free shipping.

• Add the 20% off coupon codes from the August or September 2010 Parents or Parenting the Early Years magazines to the coupon code box. It looks like you may be able to use at least three different codes in one order!

• Once your order has shipped or you receive your order, don’t forget to log in and cancel your subscription — unless you’d like to continue receiving diapers at the discounted rate.

This will literally take you 3 minutes and will get you the best diaper deal I've seen in a long, long time! Woot, woot!
